VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, is becoming the
alternative to the high cost of local telephone service. The
primary advantage is the savings on local and long-distance
calls. There are also savings for all the extra features that
are included in the basic VoIP service. Traditional telephone

The Blu-ray Disc belongs to a new generation of optical discs
capable of staging high density data. Blu-Ray technology is
based on a blue-violet coloured laser. The blue laser operates
at a wave length of 405 nm, while older technology such as DVDs
and CDs are based on red and infrared lasers that works at 650
and 780 nm. Since the wave length is shorter with a blue laser,
the new Blu-ray technology makes is possible to store much more
information
The advantage with the Blu-ray technology is ...

When someone buys a new digital camera for recreational
purposes, they rarely look at the type of storage media the
camera supports. How important is the storage media, exactly?
Well, it's where your pictures are stored, so it must be pretty
important! Someone doesn't want to be in a another country
before they figure out the camera blinks "Memory Low" in red. A
new digital camera usually comes with a means of storage, but
the storage media is, most of the time, not sufficient enough to
hold ...

recently. Satellite TV has truly revolutionized the global
viewing experience. You no longer have to rely on awkward rabbit
ear antennae to bring viewing pleasure. Satellite dishes have
become as ubiquitous as the roof antenna was in the early years.
The world can now be accessed through numerous, and diverse
channels, and programming.
The number of options available with satellite television is
overwhelming. Since the broadcast ...

In essence, DLP is a nanotechnology implementation of the old
survival technique of using a mirror to signal for help -- its
purpose is to shine a controlled series of light flashes on a
target to send a message. The mirror in this case is part of an
optical semiconductor called a digital micro mirror device, or
DMD. The DMD chip contains not one but an entire array of up to
2.1 million microscopic mirrors, each just 16 micrometers square
(less than one-fifth the size of a human hair) and 1 ...
